Marine Buoyancy Solutions: Debris Barrier Buoys & Pipe Floats

I. Debris Barrier Buoys

Designed to intercept floating debris and pollutants on water surfaces, these buoys form continuous barriers in rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and port areas.

Design & Specifications

  • Shapes: Cylindrical, spherical, or rectangular box profiles; modular configurations available for custom barrier layouts.

  • Dimensions:      – Cylindrical/spherical: Diameter 300–1500 mm; standard lengths 1 m, 1.5 m, 2 m (custom lengths supported)      – Box-type: Typical sizes include 1000×500×500 mm or 2000×1000×800 mm      – All dimensions tailored to hydraulic load and interception efficiency requirements

  • Wall Thickness: 5–15 mm, engineered based on buoyancy demand, water depth, and mechanical stress.

  • Buoyancy Capacity:      Net load-bearing capacity ranges from 500 kg to 800 kg (e.g., 800 mm diameter × 2 m length unit), accounting for self-weight and submerged volume.

  • Connection System:      Pre-molded ear holes, buckles, or chain grooves enable lateral or longitudinal linking via stainless steel shackles, bolts, chains, or ropes—ideal for boom assembly.

  • Color Options: UV-stable international orange, yellow, blue, or black; custom colors available upon request.

Typical Applications

  • Floating debris and pollutant containment in freshwater bodies

  • Protection of port entrances and navigation channels from large floating objects

  • Visual navigation markers for vessel traffic management

II. Pipe Floats

Engineered to provide positive buoyancy and structural support for submerged pipelines in marine, riverine, or reservoir environments.

Design & Specifications

  • Configuration: Two-half “clamshell” design with central pipe groove; alternative saddle or wrap-around styles available.

  • Pipe Compatibility: Inner diameter precisely matched to pipe outer diameter (e.g., DN300, DN500, DN800).

  • Dimensions:      – Standard lengths: 1 m, 1.5 m, 2 m      – Outer diameter sized to deliver required buoyancy while maintaining hydrodynamic stability

  • Wall Thickness: 5–15 mm, selected based on pipeline weight, water depth, and dynamic loading.

  • Buoyancy Performance:      Net uplift force calculated after deducting:      – Float self-weight      – Submerged portion of pipe weight      – Weight of clamps and accessories      Ensures pipeline remains positively buoyant at the design water level.

  • Connection System:      – To pipe: Secured with stainless steel bolts through flanged halves      – Between floats: End-to-end bolting for continuous support      – Mooring: Integrated eyelets or rings for anchoring to seabed or support structures

  • Color Options: International orange, yellow, blue, or black (UV-resistant pigments).

Typical Applications

  • Support for outfall, intake, and dredging pipelines

  • Maintenance of pipeline alignment and buoyancy in tidal or deep-water installations
